This year, Hot Wheels will release 12 cars for its Treasure Hunt series. But unlike in the past years, this set is a bit difficult to find for packaging or cards of these cars will not be printed with clues whether or not they are treasure hunts or not.

Gone are the days where green letters, treasure chests and the words  “Treasure Hunt” on the card or the “TH” tampo on the car can give collectors a heads up whether a car is a T-hunt or not. Now, on the 2013 HW Treasure Hunt set, only a Thunt logo or flame tampo on the car can lead you to these truly secret Treasure hunts.

The Custom ’77 Dodge Van was introduced in the 2008 Hot Wheels set. It took 5 years before a variant of this American classic to be part of the Treasure Hunt set, but the wait is worth while for this is one of the coolest cars in this years collection.

The Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt Custom ’77 Dodge Van is part of the HW CITY Graffiti Riders set, so expect it to be very colorful and has cool tampos.

This Treasure Hunt has a wicked color scheme where the black body is complimented with a cool graffiti design, yellow wheels with green spokes, plus a transparent green roof.

This is one awesome car that it is worth buying, even if is not a treasure hunt, but being one makes this haul a truly great find.
